September 15, 2010 – Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana has announced that EBSCO Discovery Service will now power its library website. In LISWire’s article, “Indiana University Selects EBSCO Discovery Service™ to Give Users What They Expect Online, the school shares their expectations that the new service will provide users with what they are expecting from an online library.

Usability testing with the actual students led the university to believe that they were on target for their goal. First timers to experienced users will be able to search all the material contained in the library from just one search box. Claims of an even more powerful search index are said to be available through the quality of metadata and depth and breadth of coverage. Beginning with a base index, EDS spans out to over 70,000 publishers and providers
