November 23, 2010 – Dr. Michael F. Uschold of Seattle, Washington has joined Semantic Arts as a senior ontology consultant. As an internationally recognized expert with over two decades experience in developing and transitioning semantic technology from academia to industry, he should be a nice addition to their staff.
We found this news on eNewsChannels in their post, “Semantic Arts adds Dr. Michael F. Uschold as a Senior Ontology Consultant.” Uschold is a pioneer in the field of ontology engineering. In 1995 he co-authored Ontologies: Principles, Methods and Applications. Most recently, he worked on a team that developed a semantic advertising platform. Before that, he spent 11 years at Boeing defining, leading, and participating in numerous projects applying semantic technology to enterprise challenges.
In this economy, it is nice to see anyone able to grow in their field and career. Of course in the world of ontology development and semantic technology, it is even more exciting.
