KM Award Winners Announced

January 3, 2011 – The winners of the KM Promise and the KM Reality awards were announced in November at the 2010 KMWorld Conference in Washington, D.C.

KMWorld brought this news to our attention in their post, “2010 Promise and Reality award winners.” Darwin Ecosystems was awarded the 2010 KM Promise Award winner for their Darwin Awareness Engine. Darwin’s use of chaos theory principles stands out as a detour of the normal approach or solution. By allowing the information to self-organize based on the established interest of the user, the semantics shine and provide a unique content visualization.

The 2010 KM Reality Award winner was the United Parcel Service Shared Services Department for their deployment of an Appian BPM system. This deployment solved a wide range of challenges over many years for the brown shipping company while maximizing efficiency, productivity and quality.

Congratulations to all the winners and contenders for their use of semantic technology in making content findable.
