New Acquisition Beefs up Semantic Search

April 19, 2011 – Intertainment Media Inc. has agreed to buy mobile software and app developer Commobility Inc.

We found this interesting piece of news on Metro News of Ottawa in their article, “Intertainment buys app developer Commobility.”  This acquisition gives Intertainment the ability to design, develop and commercialize applications in the mobile and portable computing arena regardless of service platform.

Commobility develops applications in real time semantic search, location-based mobile video search as well as real-time communication platforms and large-scale mobile messaging and service delivery platforms.

Combining real-time semantic search and mobile applications on portable platforms will be interesting to watch.
