On a totally unrelated, but very enjoyable topic, I must share a blog that was recently brought to my attention – Reprobatio Certa. This humorous, but very eloquently written blog is defined as Rejection letters, correspondence, and miscellanea from the otherwise empty annals of the Journal of Universal Rejection.
The Journal of Universal Rejection states their founding principle is rejection – universal rejection. All submissions, regardless of quality, will be rejected. Despite this promise of futility, it has received a huge response of submissions, almost a challenge of sorts. Regardless, there still has been no exception to the rejection pledge.
NPR’s Planet Money reported on this tongue-in-cheek approach at elite organizational pretentiousness. It is worth a few minutes’ break from the mundane for something lighthearted.
