CloudArray Becoming Even More Efficient

Cloud storage developer TwinStrata has unveiled a new version of its CloudArray appliances with increased volume size, improved bandwidth throttling and scheduling, and SSD options.

CRN brought this news to our attention in their article, “TwinStrata Improves Performance, Capacity Of Cloud Storage.” TwinStrata builds cloud storage and data protection solutions with technology that takes cloud storage from one or more cloud providers, and makes it look like an iSCSI storage array.

This normally comes at the expense of a large bandwidth and extensive caching. However, CloudArray does that via either physical or virtual appliances that connect customers to public storage clouds using dynamic caching and bandwidth optimization to improve performance.
