The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has rejected the idea of metadata standards. Saying they believe more work needs to be done to verify the standards before they are implemented, they practically scolded the Department of Health and Human Services over their plans to include metadata standards in Meaningful Use Stage 2.
