Experian Acquires Semantic Web Technologies

Experian has acquired UK-based web monitoring firm Garlik, which was established in 2005 and creates semantic web technologies such as DataPatrol.

We found this interesting news on Mr. Web in their article, “Experian Buys Garlik.” Garlik also consults with a group of ID protection and technology experts to offer a comprehensive identity protection product. This recent acquisition will only enhance that capability, according to Experian.

Our identities are constantly under attack. It has moved beyond the risk of shopping online to just talking on your cell phone. We hand over personally identifiable information every day. Digital asset management systems are not limited to the library any longer. Any network or organization has valuable images that should be secured.
