There are still some people out there who think the Internet is just a fad and will go the way of 8-track tapes and bomb shelters. The number of these skeptics is decreasing, but I can say (proudly or not) that I know and am related to one in particular. My sister, the teacher, believes that technology is causing the demise of our children and their education. Now, I won’t go that far. She is on the verge of creating her own version of “The Village.”

The Wall Street Journal brought this interesting topic to our attention in their article, “Can We Humanize the Web?” I do agree with the author about how we ignore the beauty available via technology and the World Wide Web. I discovered Pinterest  last fall and have watched the growth with amazement. It has also inspired me to do creative things off the computer, which is always a plus.
