A London teenager has designed a new iPhone app which summarizes the content of web pages. This entrepreneurial pubescent created Summly while studying for exams and using Google for research. In an effort to make the process more efficient and informative, Summly provides a content summary of search results with a quick snapshot of the most relevant information relating to a story.

This exciting information was found on Tech Watch in their article, “Teenager invents Summly iPhone app.” The app works best with news and review content, i.e. information as opposed to narrative pages. The technology yields high accuracy rates and results through the use of artificial intelligence, machine learning and ontology techniques.
