Siri Has Competition

The recently made popular personal assistant from iPhone, Siri, is quickly gaining competition. Meet Evi. Created by True Knowledge, Evi can also answer questions based on voice and in a conversational manner. However, one of the differences between Evi and Siri is that the former is an application available on phones and Android software.

Technology Review brought this to our attention in their article, “New Virtual Helper Challenges Siri.” Personal assistants like Siri and Evi are still limited, but that won’t last much longer. This use of semantic technology is gaining popularity with lightning speed. Pretty soon, everyone will be talking to theirselves, or their phones, or both.
