Semantic Technology To Give Insight

SAP AG has released a new solution that helps businesses and organizations gain insights into market trends and customer sentiment in real time. The SAP Rapid-Deployment Solution for Sentiment Intelligence with SAP HANA loads text data from any Web channel that has a publicly available API. Then the software uses semantic analysis so that decision-makers can visualize customers’ sentiments toward their products and brands in real time from data sources such as Twitter and Facebook.

This interesting information was found on Programmable Web in their article, “Visualizes Social Sentiment Coming to Enterprises in Real-time.” Semantic technology allows enterprises to monitor and assess information contained in Web-based conversations and unstructured information so that organizations can take the “temperature” of consumers. It is kind of like having your own research firm at your fingertips, if used correctly.
