OCLC WorldShare Metadata collection management functionality has been launched to offer more efficient ways for libraries to manage electronic resources and improve user access.

This news was found on Knowledgespeak in their article, “OCLC unveils WorldShare Metadata functionality for improved management of e-resources.” This technology automatically delivers WorldCat MARC records for electronic materials and ensures current metadata. Library users will have better access and library staff will appreciate the ease of indexing. E-resources are becoming more and more valuable, so as technology continues to develop to handle them, we will see more and more of these releases addressing digital data.
