Daminion Software has released its digital asset management (DAM) system, appropriately named Daminion Server. This program is targeted to home users who want to create a centralized photo and video archive that could be accessible from all computers in a local network.

This interesting news was found on PR.com in their article, “Affordable Home-User Digital Asset Management (DAM) Solution Released by Daminion.” It is easy to see the appeal, because even with features like iCloud on your Apple products, it would be nice to have all photos available to other members of your immediate family, and in a storage system that can be indexed for file management.
