Before you sign off for the holidays, consider starting your new year out with some education. Our own Margie Hlava will be the instructor for a workshop titled Taxonomy Essentials. This will be held on January 21, 2014 in Denver, Colorado.
Sponsored by the Mile High Denver Chapter of ARMA (the Association of Records Managers and Administrators) International, the workshop will address both the practical and theoretical aspects of building a taxonomy, thesaurus, or ontology.
As we know, a well-built taxonomy is part of the foundation for information architecture that underlies content management systems (CMS), web sites, corporate intranets, search retrieval, and access to relevant content in databases.
