ZL Technologies has expanded its ingestion capabilities to include native migration directly from Symantec EnterpriseVault into the ZL Unified Archive. This approach differs from that of other vendors who must perform migration in several tedious phases by converting data to standard file formats, then importing into the new environment. This interesting news came from MENAFN in their article, “ZL Technologies Expands Migration Options With DirectExtract for Symantec Enterprise Vault.”

ZL’s DirectExtract Migration can read from multiple proprietary formats, which results in a faster and conceivably, a more comprehensive transition process.

The most common reason organizations delay their file share migration is fear of the unknown — they simply don’t know where to start.
