Yandex has announced that it is adding public Facebook data to the index of data mined for queries handled by the Russian Internet search company. This interesting information was found on MyBroadband in their article, “Facebook data indexed by Russian search engine Yandex.” Yandex said that an agreement with Facebook gives it full access to the social network’s public data.

Microsoft also has a deal with Facebook to incorporate public social network information into search results at Bing. As of yet, Google has no formal agreement with Facebook for its data stream. But as anyone knows, a Google search will often result in Facebook links.

In this information-based, real-time society we live in, we have come to expect findability. More and more, social data is what we find.
