Machine Learning-as-a-Service (MLaaS) is one of the latest terms identifying the “sweet spot” for promising technologies and applications of big data analytics. This interesting information came to us from DATAVERSITY in their article, “Improving Big Data Analytics with Machine Learning-as-a-Service.”
Machine learning algorithms on demand via the Cloud have great potential for many areas of work. The first is big data itself. With the predictive capabilities of machine learning, organizations can combine structured data with unstructured data, something that would otherwise take too long to parse with big data sets. Cloud computing makes this the choice for big data, due to the speed and convenience of MLaaS accessibility in the clouds.
These are just a few of the potential benefits. In many ways, machine learning functions at the epicenter for a number of different analytics. Machine learning has a secure place in the future of big data.
