The Networked Knowledge Organization Systems (NKOS) is planning a knowledge organization workshop at the Korean National Library on September 25, 2019 as part of the International Conference on Dublin Core and Metadata Applications 2019 (DCMI-2019) in Seoul, South Korea.

Complete details outlining the requirements for presentation proposals for the NKOS workshop can be found here and the proposal submission deadline is Friday, May 31, 2019. All notifications of acceptance will be completed by Friday, June 28, 2019.

There are several themes to focus workshop proposals on, including, domain modeling, terminology development, validation, governance, automated indexing, annotation and enrichment, and ethics.

NKOS is devoted to the discussion of the functional and data model for enabling knowledge organization systems/services (KOS), such as classification systems, thesauri, gazetteers, and ontologies, as networked interactive information services to support the description and retrieval of diverse information resources through the Internet.
