Data is key to so many things. It is the most important asset for a business. It provides insights into business trends and customer behavior. It is important.  So, when it comes to data management, everyone in the organization should be working toward a culture of data stewardship. Nextgov brought this topic to us in their article, “Getting Leaders Onboard for Data Governance.”

A culture of data stewardship is key to enhancing data quality and increasing the number of opportunities organizations have to use data for better insights and greater things.

Like any successful accomplishment, the plan to get here must be strategic. Whether it is the people working more closely with the data or the organizational leaders, a holistic data governance strategy needs to be embraced.

Helping leaders understand that data management goes well beyond the information technology department can spark a conversation to create a strong culture of data stewardship across the organization.
