The coronavirus pandemic has taught us many things and there are certainly more lessons to be learned as we continue to navigate through this unprecedented time. When it comes to business and data, no one can challenge the value of data in our society, especially now and especially in public health. This interesting topic came to us from the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University in their article, “The future of data governance.”
Many believe that data and data analytics will be the answer to this crisis. Data will provide our path out. If this is true then more attention to the collection, mining and analysis of that date should be paid. In other words, upgrade our data governance plans.
Up until now, data governance has been seen through the lens of data privacy. However, our digital lives have changed. They are infinitely more complex. The strategy and effort we put into our data should be equally has comprehensive.
