Innovations in emerging technologies were recognized by Time magazine in their annual list of 100 best innovations. The annual list highlights “inventions that are making the world better, smarter and a bit more fun”. This information came to us from The National News in their article, “Emerging technologies get more recognition on Time’s 2021 list of 100 ‘best inventions’.”
In addition to self-driving vehicles, energy platforms for electric vehicle charging, and a sustainability agriculture application, it is no surprise that technology related to COVID-19 vaccines and tests made the list.
Innovative technologies are emerging in response to the COVID-19 crisis that will also increase access to personal data for real-time decision-making.
Across the world, innovative applications have helped to track infections, empower healthcare providers and connect humanity in unprecedented ways. Data and real-time information exchange has played a key role in helping to curb the magnitude of the pandemic.
This tragedy would have been far worse without the benefit of big data to help assess risks through statistical modeling and predictive analysis.
