This integration will help litigation discovery professionals find the most relevant documents faster than ever before. Semantic search technology allows the system to ‘learn’ as litigation documents are uploaded and searched. By applying the intelligence gathered to run smarter searches and help produce precise search results, the results will be much more comprehensive.

A recent survey by Edifecs reports that about two-thirds of health care professionals do not believe a delay in ICD-10 implementation will improve readiness for the new coding standards. This is disheartening considering U.S. health care organizations are working to transition from ICD-9 to ICD-10 code sets to accommodate codes for new diseases and procedures. The switch from about 14,000 codes for about 69,000 codes was supposed to be done by October 1, 2013.

Chomp’s app uses a “proprietary algorithm” that learns the functions and topic of apps. This semantic-like technology helps users search for apps based on their true functionality, not just their names. The app offers app browsing by unique categories that don’t exist within the App Store’s own taxonomy.

Edifecs, Inc. has released the results of a survey about the impact a postponement of the ICD-10 compliance deadline would have on a healthcare organization’s ICD-10 transition plans, budget and progress. The findings indicate that 64 percent believe a delay will not improve readiness, 76 percent believe a delay will harm other healthcare reform efforts, and 69 percent say a two-year delay would be either “potentially catastrophic” or “unrecoverable.”

I have Define Key Terminology, Thesaurus Tools, Functions, Features, Class, Construction of the Thesaurus etc in the figure below. You can see that the word “Thesaurus” is used three times here. I have a number of other words that you might focus on to see where they are. If I am going to take these and make them into an inverted file, the simple inverted file index is just going to take them and make them into an alphabetic list. So it will sort the high ASCII characters first – the special characters and the numbers – and then it will sort the rest of them alphabetically.
