Capturing the History

ISKO (the International Society for Knowledge Organization) has made its free online bibliographic service, Knowledge Organization Literature, even more comprehensive. This recent enhancement will cover nine more years back in bibliographical references. Covering the years from 1988 to the present, the Knowledge Organization Literature database continues to be updated with recent literature.

Previous years 1950-1987 are covered in printed volumes and journal bulletins, cited at the bottom of the same webpage. It is expected that they too will be converted into the digital format, after improvements are made on the online search functionalities.

This is a very useful service that contributes to strengthening knowledge organization as a full, consistent scientific field. Take a few minutes and check it out.
