The Power of Data

Former head of the National Security Agency (NSA) General Michael Hayden shared that information collected by the NSA about phone calls and other communications that does not include content can still tell the government all they need to know for strategic decisions. We got this news from ABC, but the famous line “We kill people based on metadata” is likely to follow many people for years to come. Hayden tried to clarify his remarks by stating it doesn’t apply to domestic metadata collection.

Information management for any type of business is critical. One key way to ensure success is through a solid taxonomy, based on standards, built by someone with years of experience in the field. As we move into more business intelligence integration, remember that standards are what drives consistency. Access Innovations is one of a very small number of companies able to help its clients generate ANSI/ISO/W3C-compliant taxonomies.
