The UC Berkeley Library recently launched its Digital Collections website. This portal into the Library’s growing collection of digitized materials is fully searchable and free to all. This information came to us from Info Docket in their article, “UC Berkeley Library Launches its New Digital Collections Website.

Under a permanent agreement between the student paper and the Library, the new digital site will include all available issues of the Daily Cal printed since its inception, minus a one-year embargo for the most current articles. The platform makes possible a world of queries into the Library’s vast and varied collections.

This feels like an appropriate time to make data and information freely accessible to those who are confined to their homes. Using it for education and work, and just personal knowledge, is a good use of time and resources.
