The North Central Iowa Genealogical Society is embarking on a new project this coming year that includes copying obituaries from the Mason City Globe Gazette and many smaller newspapers in North Central Iowa, and adding them to the society’s website. Indexing of the 2013 obituaries from the Globe Gazette will be ongoing and the index will be available at the genealogy room at the Mason City Public Library.
